ABOUT DANISH AMERICAN CHAMBER

HISTORY
Incorporated in 1997, the Danish American Chamber Southeast was founded to consolidate Danish business, social, cultural, arts and sports activities in Southeast under one umbrella. Since then Danish American Chamber has organized and participated in successful activities supporting the interests of Danes and friends of Denmark.

Recently the Danish Trade Council transferred their branch in Georgia to Texas which makes the Danish American Chamber an important agent in regards to integrating Danish business in the Southeast. We aim to take over the important role that the Trade Council used to have and continue working on creating business and social activities for the Danish American community in the area. We used to share office space but decided to go digital after the Trade Council moved.

VISION
Our vision is to build bridges between Denmark and the Southeastern USA, as well as being the preferred network for the Danish American community.

MISSION
Our mission is to promote business opportunities and facilitate valuable relationships between Denmark and the Southeastern USA through business services and social events.

ORGANIZATION
The board consists of 10 board members and two honorary members, the Honorary Consul of Denmark and the former Trade Commissioner of Danmark for Southeastern USA. Furthermore, a Director of Marketing and a Business Director assist board members in their work and development.

STRATEGY
To create focus and momentum in achieving our objectives, Danish American Chamber has created three sub-boards of dedicated board members. The boards organize and execute inspiring events which offer the Danish American community in Georgia great opportunities to flourish.

By offering an attractive sponsorship package, Danish American Chamber receives financial support from our business members. Funds are used to host ongoing inspiring events and promote our members to their target markets.

BUSINESS
The Greater Atlanta area is sizzling with business activities. Danish American Chamber's foremost task is to host and offer our members access to such events that can assist in developing new business relationships and business opportunities. We want to help our members create and maintain close relationships with local and international businesses and other chambers to help grow their businesses and reach their full potential.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
In 2018 we added the Business Development Board. The Board is working on connecting Danish businesses with valuable leads in Georgia and the Southeastern USA to help them launch their products and services in the US.

SOCIAL
Social activities are primarily organized for Danes living in Georgia, but we welcome anyone regardless of nationality. Our events offer a great opportunity to interact with the Danish community and celebrate Danish traditions. One of the most popular events is the Danish Christmas Party! Other events on our annual agenda are Sankt Hans, Fastelavn, and a Christmas event for the kids.
