In keeping with tradition,
the Community Leader
of the Year Award was presented at the annual Danish Christmas
Lunch on Sunday, December the 9, 2007.
A committee consisting of last year's
Community Leaders, Gitte & Steen Hagensen and Danish Trade
Commissioner, Jan Sauer took on the task of selecting the 2007
Community Leader: Vagn Nielsen with Proof of the Pudding. Besides
from being very active within the Danish community in Atlanta, Vagn
is very well-liked and respected, and he always gives a helping hand
whenever needed. Vagn has been a very important part of DACC's
success.

Criteria for Nomination:

The willingness to
assist others, especially newcomers, on numerous occasions without
personal gain.

The willingness to
support the Danish American community in the Southeast on numerous
occasions.

The successfulness of
the business the person has been responsible of developing.

The extent to which
the person has had a significant positive influence on the trade
between the Southeast of the US and Denmark.
