Saturday the 21st of January this year's Danish Melody

Grand Prix, a Danish song contest, was held. Nine

songs were competing to win and to earn a place in

the Eurovision, the song contest for all of Europe. More

than 1.5 million Danes were watching the popular show,

and both a jury and the Danes decided who the winner

should be. It was close, but Soluna Samay with the

song Should've Known Better won.

Soluna has an international background with parents from

Switzerland and Germany, and spent her childhood

Guatemala. The song, written by Remee, Chief 1 and Isam B,

is about missing, and appreciating what you have. Next step is

competing at the Eurovision, which is held at the 22., 24., and

26. of May. We wish the song all the best!
