NemID PDF Print E-mail

From January 2011 the digital signature will not be valid anymore and the new NemID will replace the digital signature in Denmark.

NemID is the new electronic signature, which is the vision about one common log-in for both the public and private sector.
NemID is the same log-in at all places. No matter if you want to use your net banking or finding your annual tax return from SKAT, open your e-Boks or taking care of your insurances. The way you log on will be the same.
You can use NemID from other computers; you just need to remember your log-in.
The security of NemID is very important and therefore it is built up from something you know and something you have: Your password and a keycard.
A keycard is a carton card with a series of printed one-time codes which is the keys. The keycard is a part of the NemID-log-in together with a user-id and a password.
Companies and the public sector can also use this new digital log-in.

If you order the NemID, make sure to send it to Honorary Consul Christopher Smith, and he will receive the keycard. You can contact him by telephone; 478-477-8145 or by e-mail: mcngalaw@mindspring,com.
