It all started with a car, The Mainlines: Tina Presley, Rabbitt Lambert, Tom Mikle, Claus Staalner, Steve Krask, Steve Brown, and Steve Huys got their name from an antique car, a Mainline.
When asked how they formed their band Steve Huys responded: "We took our time. We all have been playing or singing for 25 years plus and have been in countless bands. Some of us have toured some have recorded, but the three Steve’s all decided about mid 2009 that we wanted to put something together that would last, so we started looking for people who we would be friends with first and sought out like minded individuals who were all looking to grow musically and challenge themselves. Almost everybody plays two to three different instruments and/or is learning a new one. It just happened that everybody lives within a mile or two of each other. It’s a fun experience."

The band plays just about anything but you will probably hear more rock, classic rock, county, country rock, and pop than anything. According to Steve Huys, "The rule for everybody is that if a song is well written and sounds good, then we will play it." Steve Krask and Steve Huys have been writing songs together and have written several originals, with Huys writing the lyrics and Krask writing the music.

When asked what themes and inspiration are for their music Huys responded, "Main themes can be all kinds of topics. Love, growing older, work, life, etc. We all have days jobs so no one is really that angry. Mostly I would say they are retrospective and yes I am sure they will change somewhat, but that depends who else contributes. For me, these topics are what I think about a lot now and for the next twenty years. I think people always think about these things."
Their set lists tend to change depending on the crowd, but their mostly inspired by the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, the Eagles, and other 70's band have influenced all the members in the band. The band has mostly been playing private parties and even entertained our members at the Sct. Hans BB-Q this year.
