Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us at the Danish Film Festival 2010. Again this year we made it a great event and I want to use the opportunity to thank the sponsors, friends of the festival - the volunteers and last but not least Gitte Hagensen and Linda Dupler for a great event. I hope we will be able to repeat the success in 2011.

We successfully organized an Executive Roundtable in cooperation with Metro Atlanta Chamber, The Trade Commission of Denmark, and Royal Danish Consul Christopher Smith.

We have been able to organize Danish Lessons for adults, Maria Holm is the teacher and we are fortuned to be able to host these sessions at our Consulate here in Atlanta Stephen Selig's office in Midtown.

The first Balut in 2010 was (as always) a great success with a big turnout - what a great way to gather the community in a festive manner!

A lot is going on behind the scenes these days - we are busy wrapping up 2009 and finalize our financials.

And most importantly, we are in the middle of renewing memberships on all levels. Thanks to everyone who already issued payment - we sincerely appreciate your support. As a new initiative, you will soon receive your 2010 membership card.

Coming up this weekend is Fastelavn. I'm so excited about this fun event for the kids in our community.

We will have the event the same place as last year - please be sure you have the correct address, as we discovered last year the address was not really 'mapquest' friendly and we had some very disappointed children who didn't make it in time for the festive 'hit the cat in the barrel'.

Spring is around the corner and we have several events in the works for the next couple of months and Georgia has so much to offer, so get out there an enjoy.

Finally, if you want to beat the Chair(wo)man in the ING Half Marathon on March 21st 2010 it will be fairly easy - I'm in a horrible shape. But I did sign up and I have created a group called 'Fit Danes' so please do sign up under this group if you're planing on attending.
