The 13th annual Scandinavian Festival was once again held in the beautiful surroundings of Oglethorpe University on Saturday, October the 13th.
The Scandinavian Festival is all about celebrating the Scandinavian countries: Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
The Festival proved to be a huge success and was well-attended by Scandinavians and many other nationalities of all ages.
The weather was beautiful and the spirits were high, and the Festival attendees enjoyed the various vendors who sold everything one's heart desires from Scandinavia.
Once again there was a broad selection of Scandinavian entertainment, booths with delicious food, a cultural corner, a place for the children, and the exciting DSV Soccer Tournament.
The soccer final between Norway and Sweden took place in the afternoon at a nearby soccer field; unfortunately Denmark did not manage to defend their title as Scandinavian Champions and went out after the semifinals.
However, sources reveal that they will come back next year!
Below are pictures from the day taken by our dear friends, Victor Jones & Gitte Toben.
Enjoy!
