We have a number of Danes who participate in various sporting events and have achieved great results.

To highlight a couple of these active Danes, you can read about Jesper Lykke, Trine Nielsen and Kris Binder’s

great accomplishments below.

Trine Nielsen during ING Marathon Trine and friends after the race

Trine Nielsen completed her first marathon in March 2009. It was the ING Georgia Marathon, which she ran with

a couple of girlfriends and finished in 3 hours and 56 minutes. Congratulations!

Jesper Lykke during ING Marathon Jesper og Maja
Jesper Lykke finished his second marathon in the same race in 4 hours and 5 minutes.

He is now training for the Chicago marathon in October 2009. He also ran the Jingle Jog back in December 2008

with his daughter Maja.

Jesper runs every Saturday morning with a small group of early-riser-Danes by the Chattahoochee River near

Powers Ferry Road. The scenic route is 5 km long and it's up to each runner how many laps he/she will run.

Kris (Kresten) Binder, who works at Hydrema, is 36 years old and lives in Roswell with his wife Jette and son Lukas.

Kris recently finished his first 6-hour mountain bike race. Mountain biking is a great way to exercise and if you are

interested in more information about mountain biking, Kris recommends looking at Dirty Spokes MTB race series.
