The Danish Ambassador visited Georgia

this week. His visit included a meeting

with Georgia Governor Nathan Deal

where he discussed the long-standing

and close relations between Denmark and

the US.

The Ambassador traveled to Georgia to visit the Danish Trade Council in Atlanta

and also to speak at Mercer University in Macon. Here he spoke tuesday evening

in front of an audience of almost 200 people. The Ambassador gave a lecture

entitled “Denmark and the Road to a New Energy Paradigm on the 21st Century”.

The lecture focused on the Danish commitment to lowering carbon emissions

and on the Danish energy model – securing economy growth without increasing

energy consumption.
