 Danish Film Festival 2010:
The Danish Film festival was a huge success. The High Museum was packed and there was hardly a seat to be had. Thanks to everyone who came out and I hope to see everyone again next year. A special thanks to the sponsors, volunteers and friends of the festival. A warm and special thank you to Gitte Hagensen and Linda Dubler at the Atlanta's High Museum. Without them this event would not be possible.

 Volunteer Day January 10th 2010:
For the first time ever we organized a volunteer day where volunteers who signed up to help in 2010 were gathered in Suwannee. Kathy and Claus Staalner opened their home to all of us and made it a great day! First, Charlotte Nytoft introduced the strategy for 2010 and then we split into 4 groups, which will be the foundation of our work for 2010: Communication, Membership, Business Network, and Social Network.
The team leader for each group gathered the volunteers and discussed the action plan for 2010. Kathy and Claus served refreshments and the afternoon was, indeed, very productive. If you too want to get involved, it’s not too late! Send me an email; we could use your input.

 New Year's Celebration 2009:
Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated New Years with friends of the DACC. This was simply an awesome event and this will be our newest tradition.
We gathered in my clubroom with good friends and great food catered by Danish Delight Bakery (http://danishdelightbakery.com/). MyMagicRemote (http://www.mymagicremote.com/) made it possible to watch Queen Margrethe's speech live from Denmark.
It was a very special feeling to stand far away from 'home' and watch the Queen speak to the nation; especially when she mentioned all the people who are working abroad for Denmark…everyone was cheering. We topped the event off with a champagne toast and kransekage.
All in all a very nice way to say thank you to Danish friends and wish everyone a Happy New Year.
