Our greatly anticipated Lotte Heise Show took place on Sunday, September 14 in the beautiful Helenic Community Center, and the show about "Ameridanes" more than lived up to the high expectations!

Having never been in the US before, it was amazing to see how much Lotte Heise had picked up on of the cultural differences between Denmark and US, just from her trip from the airport to the hotel! As US residents, we realize the differences but we might not think about them in our daily lives, and it is always amazing to hear how much they strike a new-comer! And naturally, with it being Lotte Heise giving her two cents, the reflections was delivered with a loud and entertaining precision!

Lotte Heise performed a great, entertaining, and above all lively and energetic show. She captured the audience completely with her lively body language, her dramatic voice, and her moving on and off the stage, walking around among the audience. The room filled with heart-felt laughter every time she correctly pin-pointed some of the special things we do as Danes and "Ameridanes", and at the end the continiuos applause almost made her blush with the Danish modesty, she had so well described.

After the show, the participants enjoyed delicious food from Proof of the Pudding which was arranged in the most beautiful and inviting way, and people mingled around the georgous set-up. Lotte Heise also joined the party to talk to people and meet some actual Ameridanes.

The Silent Auction that had opened the event also closed it, with the announcement of the winners at 6 pm. People left full of good food and good experiences carrying the many Silent Auction must-haves.
