The US have and will always be in the limelight of European media. Many times the view on conditions such as poverty, racial discrimination, the healthcare system will be described in a highly negative manor when compared to many European countries. Henrik Fogh Rasmussen, son of the current Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, wrote the book “Amerikanske Tilstande” (American Conditions) with the purpose to discuss and illuminate possible flaws in these views.

DACC invited Mr. Rasmussen to Atlanta on June 17 to discuss the viewpoints in the book. 42 members and associates, among these diplomatic representatives from Mexico, England, Lichtenstein, Hungaria and Denmark, participated in the very successful event.

Participants joined the, at times, heated debate which could have continued into the night but all things have to come to an end. On the way out, many decided to sign up for the 2nd edition of the book which was released on July 4th.

DACC would like to thank Mr. Rasmussen for taking the time to come to Atlanta and to DSV for sponsoring drinks for the event.

Below are pictures from the exciting and interesting evening!
