As early tradition predicts it, this year's St. Hans Party took place on Saturday, June 21st at Hagensen’s lovely residence in Sandy Springs. Almost 150 Danes and friends of Danes celebrated this longest day of the year, enjoying great company, great food and great weather!

A huge inflatable bouncy castle was set up for the kids and Anne Sornpao had arranged for lots of other games and fun for the kids. Steen Hagensen, Peter Hansen and Henrik Engell-Jensen took control of the grill and served hamburgers and hot dogs for the entire gathering. As the afternoon turned to evening and the evening turned to night everybody talked, played and generally just had lots of fun.

Unfortunately due to drought, we were not able to have a bon fire, but that did not stop us from following tradition! Gitte Hagensen, DACC Chairman of the Board, welcomed everyone and introduced Christopher Smith, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Denmark, to do the bonfire speech according to tradition.

DACC would like to thank Vagn Nielsen and Proof of the Pudding for sponsoring the hamburgers and hot dogs, and Gitte & Steen Hagensen for graciously inviting DACC and its members into their home for this annual event.

Below are pictures from the celebration. Enjoy!
