Internship with the Danish American Chamber of Commerce GA, Inc.
The Danish American Chamber of Commerce, GA, Inc. (DACC) in Atlanta is the local, volunteer based Danish-American networking promoter, whose primary objective it is to strengthen the community among Danes and Americans in the Southeastern US.
A major part of our activities include set up and coordination of networking events for our members. The DACC business events include meetings on topics regarding trade, import/export, immigration law etc. Also, we set up social events, which are relevant for Danish business people and their families living in the US, such as Danish Film Festival (www.danishfilmfestival.com), Sport Tournaments, Christmas Lunch, etc.
The DACC Internship
As an intern with the DACC, you will become exposed to a variety of tasks with regard to the maintenance and development of a “special interest organization”. The intern will get hands-on experience with practically all aspects of a Danish American interest organization; along with a large extend of independent work and responsibility. As the DACC exists because of and for our members, communication plays a vital part in our organization.
Intern’s Tasks:
- Marketing of a non-profit organization to prospective members and sponsors as well as further improving the existing image of the DACC.
- Daily internal/external communication with and service to members of both corporate and social nature.
- Maintenance and development of the organization, including work with database, webpage, events, internal structure etc.
- Do projects for DACC members’ businesses.
- Interested in and educationally skilled to work with communication, culture, marketing, social sciences, and/or languages.
- Committed, an initiator and able to work independently without a great extent of supervision.
- Up for the challenge of working with an organization under constant and increasing development.
