Danish Film Festival 2007

Danish Film Festival a Huge Success
This year's Film Festival took place at the High Museum of Art. Hundreds of people attended the Festival and all of them were enjoying the fantastic Danish films. Guest of Honor this year was the marvelous actor Ali Kazim, who played a criminal young man in the opening film called 'Adams Apples'.
After the film, Ali Kazim was available for a Q&A session. It seemed obvious that the audience really enjoyed his character, along with his Danish humor, which is an integral part of this particular film.

Saturday the VIP Dinner was held at the Four Seasons. Sponsors of the Festival and sponsors of DACC were represented, along with individual business members and social members of the DACC. Ali Kazim also attended the dinner, and was presented with a trophy for his participation in the Film Festival.

After the dinner, it was time for the second movie of the Film Festival, Murk. Opposite of the comedy, Adam’s Apples, this was a thriller featuring among others, Niclas Bro and Nikolai Lie Kaas.

The following weekend, the Danish Film Festival followed up the first weekend’s success with three new films beginning Friday evening at 8 p.m. and ending Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m., with this year’s children’s movie, Little Big Mouse. Even though this film was in Danish with English subtitles, the children really enjoyed the adventure of Circleen. After the film the children were offered goody bags and the lucky ones even won footballs. Every child was given a Circleen doll before entering the movie.
